Nathan's 12th Birthday June 4, 2009! Also Aquarium

I'm 12-years-old! On my last day of being 11, that evening, my dad and I rode our bikes from our home to the bridge across the street from Newington and Flowertown School. One early morning, when I woke up then went back to bed, I was 12!! For my 12th birthday, I had the Pirates of the Carribbean cake, half vanilla, half chocolate, and half vanilla, half chocolate ice cream. My Mom had them write down by icing, saying Happy 12th Birthday Nathan. I had a couple of cake toy pirates and a steering wheel. I took a picture of my 12th birthday cake. My dad took pictures of me, we went to Burger King and got me a crown. I had the BK shots and got a Pokemon-Switching with-Cards toy. It rained on my birthday. Then, we went to the aquarium for my science thing. I'm about to go into 6th grade as I'm finished with 5th grade. I even saw the 4 penguins. We called them, Skipper, Rico, Kowalski, and Private. My dad and I took pictures of them. We went to a pretend campsite with a pretend tent and a pretend campfire. I put my hand in the water to touch the sea animals. Then, I dried off my hands. Then, we went to the pretend mountains. I took a picture of my dad and my sister at the pretend mountains. On my 12th birthday, my ticket was now adult. I got to see the fish, turtles, sharks, snakes, crabs, stingrays, hermit crabs, divers, and more. I even got to press the buttons for lights for the locations. Waterfalls, camping places, state parks, the Palmetto Trail, and 1 more. Then we went to see the movie Up. It was about a boy scout cartoon boy who had a lot of merit badges, a bird, a dog who has a collar to help him talk, and an old man. The dogs had talking collars too. Before the movie started, my dad took a picture of me in the Movie Theaters. It was also about a floating house with a lot of balloons. After the movie, we got out, and we went back home.

Turtles In May 2009

It took an hour to get to Edisto Island for our turtle trip. It was on May 16, 2009 on Saturday afternoon. It was morning when we left. I took a picture of the turtle skull and shell. They had turtle eggs, the way to tell it's a boy or girl. The egg is male if it's 27 degrees or lower and female if it's 28 degrees or higher. At night, the beach has to be clean for the females to lay there eggs and to cover them with sand to protect them. I felt tired and thirsty, so I got water and it didn't taste like it, it tasted more like the beach. After walking for a bit, my dad and I got iced snowcones, mine was orange. I couldn't drink it all, although it was a small. We went to the pier, and there were no boats. It was cool and shady inside, there was a stuffed bobcat and crocodiles, movie or video of nature, sayings of nature on the phone, fake water with a fake crocodile, and a pretend ship that my dad took a picture of me with this. We watched the ending part of the video, the worker turned it up a little bit beacause it was a bit too soft sounding. After that, guitar music was playing then it started over again. Before all that, we were looking at little, medium, and big fossils like sharkteeth, vertebrae, bones, and more. After all that, we went to the beach, and to a resturant at Edisto Beach, I had a cheeseburger and fries, but I didn't eat all my cheeseburger and fries. I didn't drink all my water either. My dad got a picture of me at the beach. I didn't want to get my feet wet, because I had on jeans. I had a headache, so my mom got me some ages 2-11 pink medicane, I took 5 of them. After all that, we finally went back home. Although, it didn't take as long to get back home.

The Camperall, the Flowertown Festival, Nature and Birds, 2009

At first, I was sick, I had a cold. Then, I was starting to get better as we went. Billy, the new scouts, Thomas, Danny (or Trey), Mr. Randall, Mr. Howard, and all the other scouts or troops went. My dad and I were the visitors. I took lots of pictures. When we left the church, we followed the ladies, the wives of the the troop leaders. Thomas and Danny's (Trey's) mom, Billy's mom, one of the new scout's mom, and Ms. Sarah. Over 600 boy scouts were there, or 32 troops were there. We got to see the Monkey-Bridge, I even got to cross it, Billy and my dad were taking pictures of me doing it. I saw Troop 776 about to do it. I even got to video tape someone doing it. Later that day, the scouts and leaders were cooking supper. We took a picture of the food on a stick, when the food was done the meat was cooked fine, but the vegetables were hard, the vegetables didn't cook very good. After supper, we headed to the rodeo while Danny (Trey) was cooking a dessert called Apple Pie, the adults had Apple Pie Version Cannonballs. One of the bulls noses was bleeding, busting his nose into the fence. Earlier than that, we saw the guys using their guns to shoot the targets, and saw some guys shaping metal by heat. Back at the rodeo, I took a 5 minute and 8 second video of the rodeo. Billy's camera batteries were dying, so he barrowed mine. After he was done with it, he returned it to me. After the 5 minute video, it said low battery, but it wasn't. We saw a Boy Scout Clown, I took a picture of him, so did Billy. We and the crowd cheered for the rodeo. It lasted from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. After the rodeo, we had dessert. I had a slice of pie, the bottom of it was burnt, but I liked the pie still, not the burnt part. Then the Boy Scouts set up a campfire. We said good-bye to the scouts, Billy was the Senior Patrol Leader on the campout, and then we left.

This weekend I went to the Flowertown Festival. On the 1st day of the festival, I went with Kristin and Lexie. I got my camera with me, it was really hot. When we got there, I took lots of pictures. I even took a picture a picture of the Haley CD, The Mystery Of Her, I put that in Misc. I had a pizza for lunch, pepperoni. My sister kept sawing friends she knew, even Katy. Kristin and Lexie went to get a corn dog for lunch, but instead, they got the cheesey, and ranchy fry-chips. It wasn't as good as it sounded. I suddenly saw Troop 787, then we went to saw what they were doing, then sat down at the table. After that, I rode the rides, I rode the Merry-Go-Round with my sister. I rode the gigantic slide, and the helicopter by myself. They told me to stop playing with the bar, but they finally found out that pulling, go up, pushing, go down, then said sorry. After that, we had 2 yellow tickets left. I got a neckless and 2 airplane toys. We went to Dairy Queen to get an ice cream, I got a Chocolate Sundae. Then we went home. Way before, we had a Funnel Cake, and I took a picture of it.

On the 2nd day this morning, I went with my parents. We got to have a Funnel Cake. We didn't rode rides this time. We got a large bag of popcorn. When we bought tickets, this time they were red. We got rootbeer. My dad bought a new birdhouse shaped like a church. There were a lot of kids that were in a bad mood. It was very crowded, and it started to get warmer. We heard some music. At lunchtime, my mom got me 2 mini cheeseburgers, then we left. When we got home, I had lunch while my dad was putting up the new birdhouse to replace the other one.

My dad and I took some pictures of the birds and other stuff in the backyard. We even took pictures of the new house. My camera said card full, so I borrowed my dad's. I took a picture of a red cardinal bird, and other black birds that looked a bit like crows. I took pictures of our dog, Deegel's Grave, the new birdhouse, pink flowers, trees, a shed, our dog Nienna, and the bird feeders. Our old dog died a few years ago, a 5-year-old dog. She died a couple of days later after our new dog was born. Our newer dog is a boston, so was our old dog. She died from a tumor. I took 16 pictures of nature, plus the guitar from Misc., but that didn't count. After that, I saved the pictures to the computer.

The Low Country Coin Show Feb 6 and 7, 2009

Yesterday and today, we went to a coin show. Yesterday, I felt tired, but I had fun. Now I have about 102 coins in my coin collection. My dad took a couple of pictures of me. I bought many coins. They are foreign coins. The countries they are from are Australia, Spain, France, Belgium, Peru, British Honduras, England, Sweden, Greece, Japan, Norway, Ecuador, Israel, Canada, Bahamas, Netherlands, Venezula, Philippines, Ireland, Portugal, Austria, Dominican Republic, India, Kuwait, Trinidad and Tobago, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, and Guatemala. We've been there for over an hour. Then, we left, then, we went home.

The next day, I felt better, we went to the coin show again. It wasn't evening as it was before. We've been there for a couple of hours. For lunch, we got a cheeseburger and coke but didn't finish it all, not my burger but my dad's. We suddenly saw some kind of an Abraham Lincoln guy, he looked a lot like our 16th president who lived from 1809 to 1865 because, at Fords Theater, President Abraham Lincoln got shot by a bad guy named John Wilks Booth. One day, John died, and Lincoln died on April 15, 1865 at 7:22 AM. He was the one with the beard, it was black. Also, he was the one with the tall black hat. We got a picture with the Lincoln guy, he was his size and height. It was so much fun. There was a statue of Abraham Lincoln at the Lincoln Memorial that we went to. My dad got a picture of me of that Lincoln statue. My dad got a picture of me with the Lincoln guy, then, I got a couple or a few pictures of him myself. I bought many more foreign coins. The Abraham Lincoln guy gave me a silver penny of him, and it was made in 1943, it had a D on it; D stands for Denver, P for Philadelphia, and S for San Fransisco. They did have copper back then, but they didn't have enought to make pennies. They made World War 2 pennies out of steel. They used copper as shooting bullets. They shot them from cannons. Later that day, we left, went to World Market, Ross, and Target, then, we went back home.
