Tour of Charleston 2009

The last couple of days have been special. My 1st trip was going to the Gibbes Art Museum. I saw paintings and art sculptures. I even saw a sculpture of George Washington, and it was sculptured by Guiseppe Cercchi. I saw paintings of General Moultie by Rembrandt Peale, Gen Francis Merion by John Sartain, Mrs. Robert Gilmore, sculptured by Hortio Greenough, "View of Segovia" Hillside by Ernert Lawson Impressionist, several Paintings on exhibit by Robert Henri 1865 to 1925. One was called" Adobi Houses" 1917. "Veiled Lady" 1882 by Pietro Rossi "The Potter"- By Dave Drake, 1800, most famous slave potter, John C. Calhoun, 1838, by Rembrandt Peale again, and last," George Washington" 1792, sculptured by Giuseppe Ceracci, executed for opposing Napoleon. After we got out of the museum, we went to the oldest public building in SC. It was built in 1713. I got a Powder Magizine patch. I took lots of pictures, cool ones.

My 2nd trip was to Fort Sumter and Yorktown. My grandmother, my cousin, and my dad, and I went. I took 53 pictures of Fort Sumter and Yorktown. We took our 1st boatride to Fort Sumter. I took a couple of pictures of the flag, one of them was pink. One of the flags was from 1861. I got myself a Fort Sumter patch and it was only $6.95. After that, we got out and took the boatride back. A little later that day, we went to Yorktown. I got myself a Yorktown patch. Then, we went to the Yorktown, #10 Ship and saw a submarine. In the giant big ship, I saw a sign that said snack bar, but we had pizza for lunch. We toured around for a little bit. I took a lot of pictures. After that, we went to take them back, then we went back home.

January Fun

My 1st trip of January was at Middleton Place. It felt cold there, but not freezing cold. When we went into the Middleton Place store, I got myself a Middleton Place patch. I took some cool pictures. We walked to the animals. We took a couple of pictures af the sheep. She also had a baby lamb. Then we saw the horses. Earlier, I took a picture of the wood art, and forgot my patch but found at, it was $3.50. We were taking the numbered paths. I even took a picture of the garden. It was beautiful. I also took a picture of the tomb the Middleton family was buried in. I took a picture of my dad taking a picture of my sister with my mom in the background. My dad took a piture of an urn. After that, we went back home.

My 2nd trip was at Cypress Garden. It was a rainy day. That time, I didn't bring my camera. We went to a bone digging thing and I got a fake tattoo with a dog on it but didn't turn out good. I made a plaster cast of a fish fossil. We saw big teeth and $100 to $900 fossils. Then, we went to the other place, then went to the butterfly house. We saw ducks, bees, and butterflies. Also, we saw fish. I learned about animals. We also got me a Cypress Gardens patch. It was $3.95. It was too rainy to ride the boats. After that, we went back home.

Christmas 2008 at Disney World

My 3rd trip of December was going to Disney World. We got up at 5:00 AM, got ready and left. We had Lexie over. At 5:30 AM, we went to Starbucks and got me a chocolate milk. I listen to music on my iPod. Later that morning, we had Hardee's for breakfast. Later that day, we got into Disney World. We stayed at All Star Music Resort, at Rock Inn's hotel, dropped the girls off at the hotel rooms and went to pick up my Papa from the US Airport. It was 6 or 7 degrees when he left, it was 80 degrees in Florida . Then we unpacked our bags.

Later that night, we went to Downtown Disney and ate at the T-Rex, I had a pizza. We were shopping around. Later that night, we went back to the hotel rooms. Ours was 3534, theirs was 3535. I slept with my Papa. The next morning, I had a cinonmin roll for breakfast.

Later that day, we went to Epcot and I took lots of pictures. We even saw candy art. We also saw the drummers. We took a boat ride back to the other side of Epcot. We rode rides, we even rode Sorin' . It was an hour wait. Later that afternoon, we took a break. Then Later that evening, we went back to Epcot. Wehad fast passes for Soarin' because it was 150 minute or 2:30 hour wait. After that, we rode other rides. Later that night, we saw the fireworks. 20 minutes or 4,000 fireworks later, we went back to the hotel rooms.

The next morning, I had a bagel for breakfast. Later that day, we went to The Magic Kingdom. We rode the rides, even the Haunted Mansion. We rode Buzz Lightyear, and Tommorow Land's Transit. Later that day, we took a break back at the hotel rooms. On one of the days at The Magic Kingdom, they had a flag ceremony. We rode the rides, even the Mad Tea Party Cups. We spun fast. Then, later that night, we saw the fireworks, about 4 million of them, we also saw over 400,000 lights on the castle, and I took lots of pictures of them. After that, we went back to the hotel rooms.

The next morning, I had 2 mini Mickey waffles. Later that Christmas Day, we went to Epcot. We rode rides, we even rode the 37 minute ride and the cars that go up to 40 miles per hour. It was a rainy day. Then we went shopping, after that, we took a break back at the hotel rooms. But, it was after 12:00 AM.

The next morning, I had a chocolate chip muffin and chocolate milk, that time, I took a couple of pictures of my breakfast. Later that day, we went back to The Magic Kingdom. We rode rides. My throat was feeling a little iffy. Later that day, we took a break back at the hotel rooms. Later that night, we went back to The Magic Kingdom. We rode the train. Earlier we went to the Grand Floridian, and we saw a giant gingerbread house. At night, we rode rides. Later that night, we saw the fireworks. After that, we went back to the hotel rooms.

The next morning, we dropped my Papa off at the US Airport. His 1st flight landed at 1:42 PM. Then, we went back to Downtown Disney World. We packed up, and then we left. We came back at 11:30 PM.
